Requires the save, thus your weapon attack can miss and the spell can still do full damage. This also means that when you crit with your spellstrike you also don't auto crit with the spell effect. lenb76. • 1 yr. ago. You do realise that a burst effect is centered on the target and will also affect you as well. AutoModerator.

Q: P2e Saving Throws. Hey Everyone, I am new to Pathfinder, and just had a question about Saving Throws. So when my son playing a gnome wizard shoots a fireball, there is no DC listed on the spells he is casting against let's say a Drider p.159 Bestiary. I assume that he just rolls his attack die, and the attack succeeds?

Gishki_Zielgigas. • 4 yr. ago. Yup, it's fireball alright. 2d6 damage per spell level seems to basically be the standard in 2e, which is what Fireball does. It's notable that Lightning bolt's 4d12 damage makes it stronger on average than Fireball in this edition, but of course it's harder to hit multiple enemies with a line attack.

  8. Clarification on Necklace of Fireballs : r/Pathfinder2e - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder2e/comments/huzl8v/clarification_on_necklace_of...

Clarification on Necklace of Fireballs. I'm confused on how this item works in Pf2e. On page 613 of the Core Rulebook, Necklace of Fireballs says, "Each has a different basic Reflex save DC and includes a combination of spheres dealing different amounts of damage ". The way I'm interpreting this is that you can detach multiple spheres at a time.

  11. How useful is fireball on a fighter? : r/Pathfinder2e - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder2e/comments/13pwp32/how_useful_is_fireball_on_a_fighter

Fireball is a ranged AoE, so it addresses a major hole in a melee Fighter's toolkit, but generally, it's easier to upgrade a Fighter with spells that buff them and don't have opposed saves. Heroism, True Strike, Enlarge, etc all magnify what a melee Fighter is already good at and don't require much investment in spell casting ability.
