To uninstall a program use the Windows# system settings. here it is how it looks on my old Win 7 PC: Just right-click on the Entry for FreeCAD and then select "uninstall". That works here correctly. fter the uninstallation the Windows' list of installed programs has no longer an entry fro FreeCAD.

The setup can be completely automatic if you let it do so. Start FreeCAD, select the Path WB, and click the New icon. Now select the Tool icon in the Path Toolbar, and follow the prompts. It will ask for a directory, which you can change or accept the suggestion.
Windows 11 Beta, Ryzen processor on a Tomahawk 550 MB, 24 G Ram, and SSD for boot drive. FreeCAD-0.20.0-WIN-x64-installer-1.exe installer. The program starts and shows a splash screen. Text flashes across the bottom of that screen. Text states FreeCAD Start script then the screen disappears and does not show in the task manager.
Another thing to check: Open FreeCAD, add some geometry, and save the file. FreeCAD will prompt you to name it, and then choose the default file extension of .fcstd. Add some more geometry and save it again by clicking the Save icon or by doing Ctrl+S. Quit FreeCAD.
FreeCAD does not even run in Surface Pro X. This is an ARM based CPU, after Apple moved to ARM, I thought FreeCAD will start supporting this type of architecture. I bought the 1800 USD computer so I can do CAD with FreeCAD. I was wrong. Learned my lesson quickly enough.
This could well be a graphics card issue. Can you test with 0.20?
Select the top file in the list, download it into a directory on your computer, and unzip the download. After unzipping, go into the unzipped folder named bin, and from there select freecad.exe to start FreeCAD. Or, you can use the older 0.14 version (which installs rather than unzips) from here:
Hello, I'm just getting started with FreeCAD 0.16. Is there any way to change the colors and fonts of the various GUI items? Specifically, in the sketch. editor, the coordinates that are shown next to the insert point - tiny dark blue font - are unreadable to me, unless I peer over my glasses and bend way over.
