  4. Anyone buy a JK without AC only to put AC in? - Jeep Wrangler...

    www.wranglerforum.com/threads/anyone-buy-a-jk-without-ac...

I'm not saying $4000 is unfair -- it's a whole lot of trouble, I'm sure. I'm saying that with all the JKs in the world that offer AC for only 1195 MSRP, paying 4000 seems crazy. The passenger side has a little bit more room to move, so you aren't 2 inches from the steering wheel if he was behind the drivers seat.

  7. Spark plug gap question... - Jeep Wrangler Forum

    www.wranglerforum.com/threads/spark-plug-gap-question.81053

The general rule of thumb is - a large gap gives a better idle (more spark surface area.) A smaller gap gives better top end (the ignition starts running out of "steam" at higher R's, and the cylinder turbulence is greater - trying to blow out the spark.) A longer spark has a more difficult time reliably jumping at speed = misfires.

Geaux4x4. I went to one of the largest jeep clubs in my area and found what shop they recommended for re-gearing. Re-gearing is this shop's core business. Went with it and re-geared from 3.73 to 4.88 and am extremely happy. I talked with shop, distributor tech resources and gear company tech resources before picking what ratio and brand gears ...
