To manage and recover your account if you forget your password or username, make sure you have access to the recovery phone number or alternate email address you've added to your AOL account. Sign in to the AOL Account Security page. Scroll to the bottom of the page. First add a new email or phone number. Enter your new recovery info and follow the on-screen prompts. Click remove next to the old recovery option. Click Remove email or Remove phone to confirm.

Select your account in the list. Go to Account Actions at the bottom left. Click Remove Accounts. Click Add Accounts and type in the email address and password.
