The Veterans' Alliance for Security and Democracy (VETPAC) was a multi-candidate political action committee in the United States. VETPAC endorsed, actively supported and helped fund candidates for national office who they felt shared their principles of security and democracy. These candidates were often (but not always) Veterans and Fighting Dems.
On December 20, 2005, a group of Fighting Dems met in Washington, D.C. for a strategy session and voted on a name for their coalition: Veterans for a Secure America.On February 8, 2006, nearly 40 of them met again in Washington to gather outside of the U.S. Capitol at an event hosted jointly by VSA and The Veterans’ Alliance for Security and Democracy (VetPAC).
The Alliance's current campaigns focus on public banking, local food and self-governance, fighting the privatization of water and municipal water and sanitation systems, and working to pass local resolutions against the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The Alliance for Democracy's national office is located in Hudson, Massachusetts.
