If you like Merrel and they work for you, I would suggest Jambu. They are dressier yet I find the sole and insole similar to Merrel.

Cabelas has some & all Rockport Walkers used to-- my most recent pair of Rockport walkers do not have the good Vibram soles. #2 Natural Balance high end walking shoes. I've only recently started wearing ...

3961 posts. I have to agree with others who say shoes are individual. That said, I was so glad I had my usual walking sneakers in Greece. I took my black Asics and a pair of ECCO Soft 7 Sneakers. It works well for me to change shoes most days. I swear by smartwool socks that keeps my feet comfortable in warm weather.

The cushioning is not the best in the ball of foot area. I could never recommend them for walking shoes!! I like the Tree Dashers much more for when I walk long distances or am going to be on my feet for hours. They have more cushioning in the ball of the foot area and better arch support.
