Yanagisawa proceeds to inject artificial tentacles, transforming himself into a monstrous being. Seeing him easily defeating Koro-sensei, Akari attempts to defend him, only to get injured in the process. Angered at having to see a repeat of the tragedy two years before, Koro-sensei creates a bomb that obliterates Yanagisawa.

Koro-sensei encourages Sugino to focus on his own strengths for future attempts of assassination. The students of Class 3-E fail to kill Koro-sensei, even when he deliberately ties himself to a tree branch. Karasuma joins Class 3-E as the physical education teacher, observing how the class is ridiculed by the other students of the school.
With Koro-sensei left weak from his battle against Yanagisawa and The Reaper, the students reluctantly but unanimously decide to kill him themselves. Held down by his beloved students, Koro-sensei says his farewell to Karasuma and Irina. Koro-sensei takes one final roll call, as he reminisces his great experience as a teacher.
Eventually, Class 3-E manages to bind Koro-Sensei thanks to Nagisa's observation of his weakness: water. However, Koro-sensei transforms into a ball to avoid being killed. Suddenly, the class is interrupted by a vengeful Takaoka, who poisons several students. He agrees to trade the antidotes for Koro-sensei.
However, thanks to an elaborate guidebook that Koro-sensei had prepared for the trip, Nagisa and the others find their kidnapped classmates and hold off the delinquents until Koro-sensei arrives. Meanwhile, the sniper, Red Eye, having failed to assassinate Koro-sensei several times, ends up sharing a hot pot with him and gives up on his target.
