The Ohio High School Athletic Association softball tournament arrives this week and every area team will be looking to make its mark in the postseason with the start of sectional play.
The International Softball Congress (ISC) is a non-profit association for the promotion and administration of men's and boys fastpitch softball throughout North America with athletes coming from all over the world. [1] [2] The ISC was formed in 1958 as an amalgamation of the National Softball Congress and the International Softball League.
In 1981 the APSPL merged with NASL to create the United Professional Softball League (UPSL), but only the Milwaukee franchise came from the NASL to the new league as the other NASL teams folded. [17] [18] The merged league competed for two seasons, before disbanding after the 1982 season, ending the pro era of men's softball. [19] [20] [21]
It provided a home for the offices of the Canton Symphony and facilities for the Madrigal Singers, Canton Chamber Music Society and the Players’ Guild. When the Cultural Center for the Arts was established in 1970, all of the arts in Canton were centralized. The Institute began a program of expanded exhibits and art classes.
The OHSAA softball tournament has arrived and with it a chance for 10 of the top high school players in Greater Canton to showcase their skills.
