Papa Smurf is one of the protagonists from the comic strip The Smurfs. [1] Most Smurfs are said to be about 100 years old, but at the advanced age of 546 [ 2 ] (553 in the 1980s series episode "The Littlest Giant"), Papa is the oldest Smurf and the leader of all Smurfs.
The Smurfs' kindness to Smurfette caused her to want nothing else than to be a real Smurf, so Papa Smurf absolved her of her guilt and offered to try to free her by making her a real Smurf. Papa Smurf magically undid some of Gargamel's spells and consequently turned Smurfette into a more beautiful creature. Her hair grew and became blonde.
Papa Smurf then changed her into what we see today. The non-Smurf characters who would appear later would include their enemies: the wizard Gargamel, his cat Azrael, an ugly witch Hogatha, and Gargamel's godfather Balthazar; and their friends: the page Johan and his young friend Peewit, and the wizard Homnibus. There are more than 100 Smurfs.

Weakling Smurf wins all the events, partly due to the yellow and red teams cheating against each other, and partly due to Papa Smurf's formula.
The Smurfs (French: Les Schtroumpfs; Dutch: De Smurfen) is a Belgian comic series, created by cartoonist Peyo (pen name of Pierre Culliford). The titular creatures were introduced as supporting characters in an already established series, Johan and Peewit in 1958, and starred in their own series from 1959.
Harmony Smurf made a small cameo as the Smurfs comic book was flipping through pages. Gargamel and Azrael made guest appearances on Family Guy in 2009. The Smurfs were often parodied in Robot Chicken where Danny Goldman reprises his role of Brainy Smurf, while Dan Milano voiced Papa Smurf and Seth Green voiced Gargamel.
In the cartoon, Lazy Smurf is bitten by the fly first, and then bites Hefty. Hefty is the one who paints himself blue to avoid being sprayed by the antidote, and later causes the fire who makes the pollen jar explode (though this takes a while to happen, which gives time to Hefty to bite Papa Smurf and seemingly turn every Smurf purple).
