Definitely contact the buyer to make sure there isn't any typos! If they didn't put a typo, ask the customer if they are in a new construction area, if they are new construction, it means USPS may not have their address in the database yet. If that's the case, I don't think there will be a delay, but I would call USPS to confirm.
If USPS says the address is unconfirmed I will try different versions of that address (adding Dr or St or rearranging the address until I get a confirmed address) i also try copying the address the customer gave me into google search bar and often the correct spelling or slight changes will appear and when I edit the address, it then gives me a ...
Be sure to state very very clearly the reason for non-delivery (I like to use the exact wording from USPS and include a copy of the tracking information). When you ship, if USPS can't verify the address, check the address on Google maps and see what comes up. If it's something like an empty lot or some such you can ask the customer for ...
USPS has done this to 30 of my packages at this point. I went and talked to the postal supervisor, who emailed the supervisor at the place where the packages are stuck. You can cancel the label and reprint a new one. It will still take up to 2 weeks for USPS to refund you though. ETA: Go to your order receipt, and scroll down to the shipping area. From the drop down, you can select a refund for the label and then reprint another one.
New seller here and confused on shipping. I recently moved and have updated my address. However, I'm in the process of printing a packing slip for a new order, and it's showing the "shipped from" with my old address. I have all my items with the same shipping profile I created before moving. Do I n...
I only see “Ship From Address”, "Download Preference”, “Customs Form Signature” and "Customs Description”. I have a pending order. Having the correct HS Tariff Number 9503.00.9990 on the Customs Declaration form would be extremely helpful to my customer, so she wouldn’t get any surprises on her end.
Well the tracking says it was on the way, then the update says it's being returned to sender due to Insufficient Address. Yet i send a 4th message to the customer to give him the update, this time i also sent it to the email he provided to Etsy- still no reply. So when i get the order back, should i hold back any funds? He paid for shipping.
