The first Naruto anime adaptation premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo October 3, 2002, and ran for 220 episodes until its conclusion on February 8, 2007. It led to a first timeskip of two years. 3 movies were also released with the original Anime. Naruto: Shippuden is the sequel to the original Naruto anime and covers the Naruto manga from volume 28 on.

They are 20 minute episodes. Most people watch 42-45 min episodes that come out weekly, usually every day. You can easily finish Naruto in like 6 months if you watch 2 a day. But when it gets good, you'll binge like 10 episodes straight. It seems like a lot but it will go fast.

Naruto Kai is a fan project dedicated to removing filler, padding and any other executive-minded nonsense that made the Naruto animated series the mess that it is. Each episode roughly corresponds to each volume of the comic, running for about 1 and a half to 2 hours.
Started watching naruto and im on episode somewhere around 37 i think. Just watched them finish the second chunin exam. I think the show is gerat and I have a friend who loves it and I want to stick with it, but the amount of episodes are dragging me. I plan to skip filler, and watch shippuden too.
The percentage is based on episodes that are entirely filler content, not the padding type of filler. I haven’t seen One Piece, but my understanding is most episodes deal with canon content from the manga just pad the episodes extensively to cover very little.
