The reason why I've chosen Ibanez is that I like rock, metal, and some other styles in that niche of music, being Ibanez the most recommended guitars in all researches I've made (quantity of recommendations). The problem is, I've seen lots of people saying Ibanez Gio Guitars are crap, others complain about the RG 270, 350, 450 (people ...
Need help identifying an Ibanez electric guitar with a serial number starting with an 8. The plate number isn't the serial, just a random number really. S/n should be on the back of the headstock. And it's an Ibanez Saber or S series. It’s looks to be a 540s from late 80s.

If you have a Zero Point System (ZPS), setting up the bridge angle is a bit different. The top of the bridge should be a bit tilted towards the headstock. Cheaper guitar factories like the Chinese one that makes the gio line don't really 'care' about the result because they pump so many out. Not that they do a bad job, but the volume of work and value of the result are not enough for them to spend the extra time on them. A gio is the lowest production line Ibanez available. Period.

Fusion/electric jazz, '80s & prog metal, and ultra-heavy extended range/downtuned stuff are where they really shine.
You got a high set-up. Mine go from 1.05 to 1.35 mm on treble side and 1.4 to 1.5 mm on bass side. I have four Ibanez S and SA. The basses are higher, from 1.15 to 2mm . Learn to do a set-up and you'll get it down. Guitars usually come with a safely high set-up so they don't go buzzing the moment the weather changes. 5.
