On October 26, 2012, it was announced that Carnival had ordered a new 133,500 GT ship. This ship, built by Fincantieri, was the largest ship they have ever built. The new ship was named Carnival Vista, [22] and sailed her maiden voyage on May 1, 2016, from Trieste, Italy. [23]
Carnival Jubilee is a cruise ship built for Carnival Cruise Line. It is the third ship of the line's Excel class , although it was the first built by Meyer Werft at Papenburg , Germany. On 22 June 2022, Carnival Corporation announced that Costa Venezia and sister ship Costa Firenze would be transferred to Costa's sister brand, Carnival Cruise Line, in 2023 and 2024, respectively, under a new sub-brand, "Costa by Carnival" operating as "Carnival Fun Italian Style".
