EPCOT has some good rides but the only ones I love are Guardians, Soarin' & Living with the Land; with Guardians being my favorite ride at WDW. However, DHS has two of the best rides on property with Tower & Rise; I think their lineup of secondary rides is a lot better than the likes of Frozen, Test Track, etc...
Not that I'm suggesting that all of the original EPCOT rides could still exist today -- some would be wildly outdated, which is the reason they were losing popularity in the first place -- but the park would be much better today if they stuck with the original pavilion concepts with updated attractions.
They're just a bunch of buildings lol. World Showcase is amazing though; they're so fun to explore & hang out in. EPCOT has some good food but I think they're overrated food wise; the worst meal I've had at Disney was at the Japanese quick service restaurant, that was borderline garbage. We have always enjoyed Epcot. I'm a huge fan of Frozen the Musical and almost listen to it daily on my many walks. We always sing along when we're on the ride (Yes, We're One Of THOSE people. Ha!) Remy's Ratatouille and the many rats adventures is so very fun to us as the rat meanders throughout the restaurant with his misadventures.
I remember visiting EPCOT for the first time in 1987. I was twelve at the time. At that time, I did think all the "rides" in EPCOT were boring and they all did the same thing. My adult brain (who is now more into dark rides) thinking back, now remembers Horizons and WoM fondly.
Oct 19, 2023. #4. Hot Take, no theme park is worth more than $100 for a 1-day ticket. I also tell friends/family members to always visit with a multi-day pass or an annual pass to justify the price. I love theme parks, that's my hobby/interest, but even I can't justify more than $80 for a 1-day ticket, no matter the park.
I attended After Hours at Epcot on its first night, 6/1/23 OVERALL- After Hours for Epcot is NOT worth it. CONS: 1) Rides not running at full capacity made some wait times longer than during the regular day. Cosmic Rewind was never below an hour wait. 2) Ride breakdowns also caused major...
And that is exactly where we should be right now... a mixture of the classic omnimover rides with update, and the newer thrill rides like Cosmic Rewind, Mission Space, The Project Gemini Rainforest coaster at The Land Pavilion, the Jr Autopia Speedway at the WOM pavilion... not either , but in addition to...And adding in an attraction to each ...
To de-emphasize the reliance on high-budget attractions and instead focus on creating memorable, low-cost rides, EPCOT can embrace creativity and innovation in a different manner: Interactive Ride Concepts: Replace expensive themed rides with interactive experiences where guests participate using simple technology. For example, an attraction ...
At rope drop from the front entrance, the crowd is split in two places - one group going toward Test Track/Mission Space/Frozen, and one group going toward The Land/Seas/Imagination/Remy. The International Gateway guests come in right by France, so they have the advantage there. I would still try to rope drop, since you’re not planning to use LL.
