  4. Why a no-go gauge? | The High Road

    www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/why-a-no-go-gauge.850406

IMO, a no go gauge is really for a rebarrelling or reheadspacing or some other gunsmith job where you would want your chamber to be at a more minimum spec and then be allowed to wear from there with use.

  5. Looking for a Step Up From .17 HMR - The High Road

The 17HMR out to 100-125 yards, 22Hornet 125-175, 204 and .223 on out to 300+ yds. I switch back and forth between the .204 and 223 on those longer shots depending on conditions. I shoot 39 gr Sierra BKs in my Kimber .204 which handles the winds a bit better than 32 gr. And I shoot 50 gr Sierra BKs in my .223.

Of the two pistols the P 238 is easier on recoil, smaller and without weighing then i believe lighter, The Kimber Micro is even easier than the Sig and shoots as smooth. 9. 7mm-08 vs. 260 Remington | The High Road

    www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/7mm-08-vs-260...

If I was to get a new 7mm08 I'd look at the Savage or Marlins on the budget end, a Tikka for mid-value, and a Forbes Light Rifle or Kimber on the upper end. My Remington Mod'7's have a few "issues" and for the price aren't that good of a value. Both required working of the trigger, and both have been free-floated and glass bedded.

I'll be working up a 180gr TTSX load shortly for my Kimber 8400 with a .308 Win barrel. MV should be around 2,550 fps from a 22" barrel and at sea level the bullet is still moving at over 1,700 fps at 500 yards so the BC really helps.
