I have a 2010 Ford Escape. It has sat for a couple months. We went to use it yesterday, but the door would not unlock. The key FOB does nothing. Using the key does not work either - you can insert it into the keyhole but it will not turn. We tried the following: Replaced the battery in the FOB, but it made no difference.

No2 fob failed yesterday ;leaving me with engine immobilised. and EKA 30 miles away at home! having got the code I am now using the key. Not too much of an issue.
