Carmike Cinemas, Inc. was an American motion picture exhibitor headquartered in Columbus, Georgia. As of March 2016, the company had 276 theaters with 2,954 screens in 41 states, and was the fourth largest movie theater chain in the United States. [ 1 ]

In 2008, a new twelve-screen Carmike Cinema was built over a large portion of the southern parking lot. The former theater was demolished. In addition, the Goody's Family Clothing store in the mall closed in 2009 with the bankruptcy of the retail chain, and then returned on March 17, 2011, within its former space. Sears closed in 2013.
Carmike Cinemas closed in August 2000, when the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Between 2006 and 2008, the mall underwent renovation which included the demolition of the existing JCPenney and Dillard's stores, as well as the former food court wing.
