The Henan University of Technology (HAUT; 河南工业大学) is a provincial public university in Zhengzhou, Henan, China. It is affiliated with the Province of Henan, and co-funded by the Henan Provincial People's Government and the National Administration of Grain .
Since its inception SCIE has followed a policy known as "The English Policy," which states that all academic staff and students must use English as their primary language on campus due to the international nature of the school. Because of this policy, the majority of lessons are taught in English (with the exception of P.E. and Chinese).
The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction. Zhengzhou University is ranked 511th in the QS World University Rankings 2025, recognizing it as one of the top global universities.
