The Rinkai Line (りんかい線, Rinkai-sen) is a railway line in Tokyo, Japan. It is the only line operated by the third-sector company Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit . It connects central Tokyo to the artificial islands of Aomi and Odaiba .
Tokyo Teleport Station is served by the Rinkai Line from Ōsaki to Shin-Kiba. The station is situated between Tennōzu Isle and Kokusai-Tenjijō stations, and is 4.9 km (3.0 mi) from the starting point of the Rinkai Line at Shin-Kiba. [1]
The station opened on 1 December 2002. [1] Station numbering was introduced in 2016 with Shinagawa Seaside being assigned station number R06. [2] Platform screen doors became operational on platform 1 on 12 February 2022. [3] The ones on platform 2 are scheduled to become operational on 13 March 2022. [needs update]

After serving the Yamanote Line for a century, on 1 December 2002, new platforms for the Saikyō Line, the Rinkai Line and the Shōnan-Shinjuku Line opened on the west side of the station. Station numbering was introduced to the Rinkai Line platforms in 2016 with Ōsaki being assigned station number R08. [ 5 ]
