Cat Fancy was a popular North American monthly magazine dedicated to cats, owners of cats, and breeders of cats. It was originally published by Fancy Publications later named BowTie Inc., sold to Lumina Media in 2013, and shortly thereafter to I-5 Publishing .
The magazine was acquired by SAY Media (now part of The Arena Group) [7] in 2011. The final issue of Cat Fancy magazine was published in February 2015 as Lumina Media acquired Cat Fancy and Dog Fancy (now Dogster). [8] Cat Fancy magazine changed its name to Catster magazine, and became a bimonthly magazine in 2015. [9]

In 2015, Lumina Media combined its two large cat and dog brands — Dog Fancy magazine and Dogster.com and Cat Fancy magazine and Catster.com — under the brand names of Catster and Dogster.
