    Select a section view, in the ribbing find "View Group Properties" and select it and "View Group Properties" again. Or right click and select "Section View Group Properties". Settings here effect all the section views in the view group. Under the Dialog box pick the "Section Views" tab. On that tab find "Offset and Elevation" and make your changes.

    I have created a section in a floor plan of an existing project. The floor plan is Level 3, it has view template Floor plan Scale 1/8" Phase New. I can see several section marks already done. Then I create a new Section, I am using "Hide at scales coarser than 1/8" . I have verified the Crop region, It goes down to Level 1 and up to level 5.

    Then create an isometric view from the section view. Hi Nigel, I think the behavior is controlled by "Section Inheritance" setting. In any child view of a section view, edit the view -> Display Option -> Section Inheritance. You can choose whether or not the cut is carried over to the child view. Many thanks!
