Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) is a public medical school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It also has a branch campus in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Founded in 1972, OSU-CHS is part of the Oklahoma State University System. [5] OSU-CHS offers a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) and over fifteen other different graduate degrees.

The medical campus has an affiliation with Oklahoma State University Medical Center for clinical training and offers residency/fellowship opportunities. Also with the medical school, OSU established a campus in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the capital of the Cherokee Nation and the nation's first, and currently only, tribally-affiliated medical school.
In 2006, the hospital changed its name to OSU Medical Center, [10] as the State of Oklahoma passed Senate Bill 1771, which provided $40 million to fund improvements at the hospital. [ 11 ] [ 12 ] The city formed a trust to take over the hospital, which was threatened with closure by lack of funds. [ 5 ]
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO or D.O., or in Australia DO USA [1]) is a medical degree conferred by the 38 osteopathic medical schools in the United States. [2] [3] [4] DO and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees are equivalent: a DO graduate may become licensed as a physician or surgeon and thus have full medical and surgical practicing rights in all 50 US states.
The college offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree, as well as dual degrees (DO-PhD and DO-MBA).Applicant selection is made from a competitive applicant pool and depends on many aspects of the applicant such as GPA, MCAT, maturity, community service and life experiences.
