Ghanass previously known as Phoenix College was founded in 1943 by Mr. Fred Addae and Mr. Francis Adjei Tetebo, starting with just 16 boys in a temporary private building. As the student population grew, the school relocated to a new site in 1950, which is now home to the Normal Technical Institute in Koforidua.

He is an alumnus of Koforidua Senior high school and the President of the old students association. [5] He is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers. He is also a trained facilitator at the Institute of Healing Memories in Cape Town, South Africa. He was recognised as one of the Most Influential Young Ghanaians in 2015 and 2016.
