The BART Board approved the name "Walnut Creek" in December 1965. [5] Walnut Creek station opened on May 21, 1973 as part of an extension from MacArthur to Concord. [6] The city of Walnut Creek began operating a shuttle service between the station and the downtown area on December 12, 1974. [7]
Century merged in March 1994 with Alpine Gaming, parent company of the Long Branch Saloon & Casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado. [21] The casino was then renamed as Legends.
