The name Del Norte Daily Triplicate comes from the names of three papers that united in 1912—the Coast Times, Del Norte Record, and Crescent City News. Pacific Shores is an unincorporated community in Del Norte County, California.The population at the 2010 census was 0 people. It lies at an elevation of 20 feet (6 m). [1] It contains an abundance of streets laid out in more or less a grid.
Its population was 27,743 as of the 2020 census, down from 28,610 from the 2010 census. The county seat and only incorporated city is Crescent City. [6] Del Norte was pioneered and populated by Azorean Portuguese settlers and dairy farmers, which may account for the local pronunciation of the county name. [7]
The Press Democrat headquarters in Santa Rosa. The newspaper was founded in 1897 by Ernest L. Finley, who merged his Evening Press and Thomas Thompson's Sonoma Democrat (originally created as a voice for the Democratic Party). Finley bought the Santa Rosa Republican in 1927 and merged it with The Press Democrat in 1948.
