Mesa County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census , the population was 155,703, making it the most populous county in western Colorado, and 11th most populous in the state. [ 2 ]
The southeast part of the county is drained by Eagle Creek and its tributaries, flowing southward into Marion County. [ 9 ] According to the 2010 census, the county has a total area of 423.25 square miles (1,096.2 km 2 ), of which 422.91 square miles (1,095.3 km 2 ) (or 99.92%) is land and 0.34 square miles (0.88 km 2 ) (or 0.08%) is water.
