YEAR 2022 SALARY ORDINANCE, APPROVING THE JOB CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO THAT ARE ELIGIBLE FOR OVERTIME COMPENSATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022. WHEREAS, this Resolution is intended to be consistent with the overtime provisions set forth in the Fiscal Year 2022 Salary Ordinance adopted by the San Diego City Council (Council)
that the San Diego City Council (City Council or Council) annually adopts a Salary Ordinance, establishing salaries and wages of all officers and employees of the City of San Diego (City), in accordance with Charter sections 70 and 130; and
City of San Diego employees using Out-of-Class Assignment (OCA) experience to qualify must submit written documentation signed by their appointing authority or payroll specialist, detailing the work performed, dates, and total number of qualifying OCA hours.
In addition to the 21% general salary increase, certain job classifications will receive a Special Salary Adjustment (SSA), a new or increased Voluntary Certification Pay, or new Special Assignment Pay. If your job classification is slated to receive an SSA, you will receive a separate E-blast message from MEA.
