Samsung ID won't be removed even if you force a factory reset through recovery mode. During set up it will still ask you to put in your Samsung ID and password. I work at a cell phone warehouse and when we get returns from customers, 80% of the time they factory reset without removing the Samsung ID which will therefore render the device useless.

Mar 8, 2015. #2. A good shop does a factory reset as a first step, no matter what the repair is - so you can't complain that they stole your data. They wiped it even before they saw it. (They boot to recovery and wipe the phone, then boot to the system. Boot to the system first and you'd better know how to file for unemployment.

The screen actually says, "An abnormal factory reset has been reported on this device. Sign in to the Samsung account that you have already signed into on this device to confirm this reset." My problem, as stated before, is that I had never signed in to a Samsung account on the phone before, or even created one.
