The channel first launched as Price-Drop.TV on 11 June 2003. The channel began broadcasting from 4pm to 12 midnight, Wednesdays to Saturdays. The hours of live broadcast were then extended to 7.45am to 1.30am, 7 days a week. It was available to more than 12 million homes in the UK, and made weekly revenue of over £3 million. Range Game. A $600 range for the price of a prize is displayed as a vertical scale. A $150 range finder moves up the scale, starting from the bottom, and the contestant has one opportunity to stop it by pressing a button. The contestant wins the prize if the range finder is covering the correct price when stopped.
The channel launched as speed auction tv on 27 July 2005, replacing the original Screenshop 2 channel. The channel broadcast between 8am and 1am. Live rising price auctions were only available Wednesday to Sunday between 4pm to 8pm and 9pm to midnight. Pre-recorded auctions were available the remainder of the time.
