Gokul is a town in the Mathura district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south-east of Mathura . Krishna dances over the subdued Kaliya Naag in river Yamuna , while seen on the banks are people of Gokula, Krishna's father Nanda Baba and his brother Balarama
The name "Krishna" originates from the Sanskrit word Kṛṣṇa, which is primarily an adjective meaning "black", "dark", or "dark blue". [34] The waning moon is called Krishna Paksha, relating to the adjective meaning "darkening". [34] As a name of Vishnu, Krishna is listed as the 57th name in the Vishnu Sahasranama.

Goloka. Goloka (Sanskrit: गोलोक) or Goloka Vrindavan (IAST: Goloka Vṛndāvana) is the celestial abode of the Hindu god Krishna and his chief consort Radha. [1][2] In the Bhagavata Purana [3] and Garga Samhita, Krishna is portrayed as the highest person who resides in Goloka along with his three wives - Radha, Virija and Bhudevi. [4]
