Girls' Generation (Korean: 소녀시대; RR: Sonyeo Sidae), also known as SNSD, is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment. The group is composed of eight members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Originally a nine-piece ensemble, member Jessica departed from the group in September 2014.
In June 2016, Tiffany released a song titled "Heartbreak Hotel", which was a promotional single for S.M. Entertainment's digital music platform SM Station. Although she continues to be a member of Girls' Generation, Tiffany left S.M. Entertainment in October 2017 and moved back to Los Angeles to pursue a solo career.
