In 2006, the name was changed again to "The Puyallup Fair", and the venue became known as "The Puyallup Fair and Events Center." [4] In 2013 the fair received its current name, the "Washington State Fair"; however, the marketing tagline "Do the Puyallup" was retained and many local people continue to refer to the fair by its previous name. The Meeker Mansion Museum is a historic house in Puyallup, Washington, United States.It is the second of two homes in the city which were resided in by Oregon Trail pioneer Ezra Meeker, the first one being a cabin on the homestead claim which Meeker as well as Hunter Thompson and Will Brines purchased from Jerry Stilly in 1862.
For the main event, dishes range from a Puyallup River salmon on a cedar plank with a ponzu-maple butter glaze and confit potatoes, to paella packed with clams, mussels, shrimp and salmon.
The event begins with the community Christmas tree lighting at the corner of Delmas Avenue and Magnolia Street at 5 p.m., followed by performances by local dance groups, choirs and theatre groups.
