Tier 1: A deck that's considered the best in the format or very close to it. Most top 8s are dominated by tier 1 decks. Tier 2: A deck that's highly competitive, but not a mainstream choice in the current meta (eg Bitterblossom Faeries now).

Once she's on the board she helps this deck in multiple ways: 2 Mana (From Nykthos), 2 Goats (from Shepherd), 3 Life (When Shepherd Comes in), and she blocks every black/red ground beater in the meta. She's just amazing in this deck and the current meta. After figuring out how you'd like to stick your chroma, then you need to find a finisher.
Faeries adapts to the meta, and changes greatly from FNM to FNM, Pro Tour to Pro Tour. No one list is perfect. You won’t find a best decklist here, just options and suggestions to help you craft your own. The following is a good starting point to get you going. You can start with that, and tweak it depending on what feels right.
Hi all, I'm running a R/W historic deck on arena and I'm trying to work out which is better in the meta: Declaration in Stone or Fateful Absence? On one side you have you have Declaration. It exiles rather than destroys, and it doesn't just deal with the creature your facing, but all of the copies in the deck.
Realmwalker wasn't working because you only had 11 other Angels in the deck for it to abuse. I play a lot of GW Angels in Standard with Realmwalker and you really need a high amount of Angels to make it work. I wouldn't run as many in Modern but I usually run about 24 to 26 other Angels in order to spam out multiple Angels on a single turn.
Hey, a recent modern tournament in Berlin had a top 8 hive mind deck. There were 200 odd players! MTG top 8 has it listed now. Hopefully this will stimulate some brewers to get involved in one of my favourite archetypes.
Posts: 473. There's a ton of artifact hate overall, but most of it is purely sideboard material. Creeping Corrosion and Fracturing Gust are the most extreme, if you want to nuke Affinity from orbit. Ancient Grudge and Wear/Tear aren't as drastic, but it's useful in other, non-Affinity matchups, too.
Introduction UW Control is the Modern successor to The Deck.Like it's predecessor, Modern UW Control combines the spell control offered by blue with the board control offered by white.
These tend to be proactive cards and require some meta knowledge. When they hit though, they can severely cripple or even eliminate your opponent's ability to win the game. Everything else is a flex spot. You need to know the meta you are going into to most effectively board. To quote the previous moderator: run the hatiest hate possible.
