The building at the northeast corner of Moody and Pine Streets (240-254 Moody) is the only single-story building in the district. It was built in the 1930s, and features modern storefronts separated by ziggurat-style stone piers. Across Pine Street stands a two-story Georgian Revival building (266-274 Moody), built c. 1900.

Moody Street is a major north–south artery, and the principal commercial area on the city's south side. The building is three stories tall, built of brick with brownstone trim. Piers separate either individual or tripled windows, and there are decorative terra cotta panels set between the levels above and below the windows.

Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation is a museum of the American Industrial Revolution located on the Charles River Bike Path, near the intersection of the Charles River and Moody Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. It houses and displays machinery and artifacts of the industrial revolution from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
