The Dequindre Cut is a below-grade pathway, formerly a Grand Trunk Western Railroad line, [1] located on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, just west of St. Aubin Street. Much of the Cut has been converted to a greenway ; the colorful graffiti along the pathway has been left in place.
Dequindre Cut Greenway is a non-motorized trail extending from the Detroit River northward, with the future potential to connect to the Ferndale-Birmingham greenway in Oakland County. The mile (1.6 km) long trail primarily connects the Lafayette Park neighborhood and Eastern Market to the Riverwalk.
The William G. Milliken State Park's official address is 1900 Atwater Street, on the near east side of Detroit and adjacent to the Jefferson Avenue corridor. [5] In 2010, the city completed construction of the "Dequindre Extension" which connects the park to the Dequindre Cut. [6]
