    Anyways, I saw that they sell Gearwrench in NAPA stores and the guy said. they've always thought they were top notch stuff. I know Kobalt is a Snap-On. division (without the rape charges) and Kobalt has a "hassle free lifetime guarantee". which is something Sears USED to have for their Craftsman line, but no more.

    Find your spring retainer plates. On the pass. side the shock mount is forward of the axle and curved edge should curve down. On the driver side the shock mount is rear of the axle but the curved edge still goes down. Place the leaf pad on the retainer, slide the retainer up on the U bolts, and run the nuts up a bit.

    On a 79 it's visible. It looks a light like the switch for the brake pedal (the one for the tail lights), but it's a lot smaller. Should be in about the middle if not a little bit towards the front of the car. By the way, check the fuse for this light before anything else. I think that if you ground that wire, the light should light up.

    Correct, that's what I did, only had to drill 2 holes. But its a bitch to do, getting both upper & lower holes aligned. Make sure you have a couple of new 5/16 in. drill bits & a round file. You won't be able to use the th350 trans mounting pad, its to thick, it'll push the trans into the top of the tunnel.
