A waterfall is included if it has an existing article specifically for it on Wikipedia, and it is at least 15 m (50 ft) high, or the falls have some historical significance based on multiple reliable references. There is no standard way to measure the height or width of a waterfall.
A waterfall is generally defined as a point in a river where water flows over a steep drop that is close to or directly vertical. In 2000 Mabin specified that "The horizontal distance between the positions of the lip and plunge pool should be no more than c 25% of the waterfall height."
Note: There is no standard way to measure the height of a waterfall. Since there is no standard, no ranking of a waterfall should be assumed because of its position in the list. Additionally, in many cases, numbers are merely estimates and measures may be imprecise.

Mill Pond Falls is 5 meters (16 feet) high. Its water flow is 16 liters (4 gallons) per second as of February 24, 2002. [3] On April 17, 2010, the Newington Waterfall Committee planted a Crimson Maple in front of the falls. They dubbed it the "Thankful Tree" and it gives residents the opportunity to express their thanks. [4]
Despite having water flowing over it, a waterfall is not a body of water, it is a landform. Subcategories This category has the following 6 subcategories, out of 6 total.
