Mobile used to crash all the damn time for the smallest reasons and I can remember a couple times where it crashed and wiped the entire PCR including signatures. That program was extremely annoying. Once we switched to ESO, yeah there was a learning curve but it's 110% a better program. Look in to it. I promise you will thank me later.

We’ve been using iPads for HealthEMS Mobile Touch pcrs for a few months now. They replaced a few different tablets including Motion, Surfaces and Panasonic tough tablets when we switched over to Mobile Touch. The iPads are just basic WiFi only iPads with no cell data as they connect thru the ambulance Inmotion device WiFi.
HealthEMS Mobile Touch on an iPad. Seems to work well so far and is a major step up from v4. Automatically syncs all of your CAD data and call times once you pull the call up. Some hospitals can see your report before you even submit it (Methodist and Parkland usually).

Except mobile health is completely different. It is ran out of one division where the employees there are union but you are technically employed at another division that is non-union. You do not normally complete a field training time on an ambulance running 911 calls.
All basically the same. Tablet or laptop. A tablet is more mobile, but I'd say a laptop is more comfortable to use. They mostly fill the same role, mostly for field reports and accessing and adding to the digital patient health record of the patient and notifying the ED of the patient.
