The United Methodist Book of Worship (1992) is the official liturgy of the United Methodist Church.It contains services for sacraments and rites of the church such as Holy Communion, Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, Healing (anointing) Services, and Ordination.
This book was replaced in 1992 with The United Methodist Book of Worship. The 1945 book, whose use was considered optional and completely voluntary, was ordered revised by the 1956 General Conference. Professor Fred D. Gealy was the editorial consultant to an 18-member Commission on Worship that produced the 423 page book.

The British Methodist Church uses The Methodist Worship Book. These service books contain written liturgy that is generally derived from Wesley's Sunday Service and from the 20th Century liturgical renewal movement. They also contain the hymnody of the Methodist Church, which has always been an important part of Methodist worship.
It has its basis in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. [1] Editions were produced for Methodists in both the British Empire and in North America. [2] Wesley published the first edition in 1784 as The Sunday Service of the Methodists in North America with Other Occasional Services. [1] The liturgical book reflects Wesley's theological preferences.
In 2012, a new worship resource titled Worship and Song was published by Abingdon Press. Worship and Song is a collection of 190 songs from around the world, as well as prayers and other liturgical resources. It contains a musical version of Wesley's prayer; the music was composed by ministers Adam F. Seate and Jay D. Locklear. [15]
