Etemaad Daily is an Urdu newspaper based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. [1] It was established in the year 2002 and is owned by a local political party All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen. Its editor is Burhanuddin Owaisi, son of Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi who was the president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen. [2]

The Police Complaints Authority were to be established at the state and district levels following the judgement by the 2006 Supreme Court of India, in the Prakash Singh and Ors. v. Union of India and Ors. AIR 2006 SCC 1 Case, [7] in response to the huge volume of complaints against the police and the endemic lack of accountability. [8] [9]
In 1966, the Government of India constituted the Delhi Police Commission headed by Justice G.D. Khosla to investigate problems faced by Delhi Police. It was on the basis of the Khosla Commission Report that the Delhi Police was reorganised. Four Police districts were constituted: North, Central, South and New Delhi.

[7] In 1955, the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act merged the municipal corporations overseeing Hyderabad and neighbouring Secunderabad.
