Download managers speed up the process and ROMs are game files that include .ISO files, and more. Or ROMs are just a name while the actual zip folder contains the file (.ISO, etc) that you need to run the game on an emulator. I made a post a little while ago about using old mediafire storage for hosting some roms. I have since upgraded to 1TB of space for dirt cheap because of the holidays. Currently uploading most of the gamecube NA collection. Might take some time since my upload is only 50mb but a ton is on there now.

trying to download gamecube isos for a homebrew wiiu but archive.org is being incredibly slow not even reaching 0.1gb after leaving for half an hour. Anyone know alternatives where i can get isos. Has to be an iso for the wii u usb helper to work with it
7z is an archive format, just like a regular Zip or RAR file, it compresses the ROMs. You have to extract the ROM from the 7z archive file. You can do that with the included application called IZArc, found in one of the Goodies folders. All PS1 ROMs are in BIN/CUE format once extracted

Actually, Redump games are the cleanest around and Vimm's Lair has Redump copies of every US GameCube game. It also has every US Wii game, 98% of them Redump (and counting). That's more than RomCenter, all searchable and with no passwords or registration.
Some places might have all the ROMs and some places might not, either way the more sources the better That guy has been providing the community with safe ROMs for decades and in that entire time, not a single European has decided to create a European version of vimm.net, instead they just complain to him. Absolutely disgraceful.
