Blountville is a census-designated place (CDP) in and the county seat [5] of Sullivan County, Tennessee. The population was 3,074 at the 2010 census [ 6 ] and 3,120 at the 2020 census. It is the only Tennessee county seat not to be an incorporated city or town.
The Tennessee Theatre is a movie palace in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee. The theater was built in 1928 in the 1908 Burwell Building, considered Knoxville's first skyscraper. [ 1 ] The theater and Burwell Building were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, [ 2 ] and the theater was extensively restored in the early 2000s.
