You have 3 guns to consider. 43x, 43, and SIG P365 (which is 43 size, with 10 rounds). I have the 43x and 43, and love them both. I looked at the 365, but did not like it. It is a great idea, but I prefer the Glocks. The 43 and 43x both fit the same holsters and I carry them both, a lot. They are my main carry guns. I've carried a Glock 26 for ...
I have a Tier1 AIWB holster for both the 43x and 26 gen5 that I have. Considering your question, I have to say that the 43x conceals better for me for my 5' 6 inch. 135lb build. I have carried both considerably and have to say that even with the +1, +2's that you can add to the 26, the 43x draws better for me due to that thin full length grip.
Glock 43X MOS: px4350201rmos Glock 43X FS MOS: ux4350201frmos Update: I also just noticed there is a Glock 43X MOS model px4350201frmos as well. So I guess I would like to know the difference between the px vs the ux and the rmos vs the frmos. Any insight will be greatly appreciated!
Glock 43x is overpriced for what it is and the capacity is crap compared to the competition. Then on top of that, you have to purchase expensive 3rd party mags to compete with the others as I am not aware of any factory 12-15 round mags.
Shot the 43X and the 48 yesterday. The 43X shocked me with how well it worked for me. The 48 didn’t feel as smooth or balanced to me. I can get a 43X for $511 or a 48 for $450. The 48 wasn’t bad, I just felt I got on target quicker with the 43X. the 43x is like my shield and 19x had a baby… and I like it a lot more than I though.
I have carried EDC the 43 and 43x. For some time now. Short thoughts. The 43x has capacity and a more comfortable grip, but for me, 6’ slender, it doesn’t conceal as well in the summer when i carry IWB. the grip of the x is just a tad too long. The 43 fits the cc bill and I don’t care about the extra 4 rd capacity of the x.
I have both. My first Glock was a 17 for the house, then I decided to buy the 43 as a carry gun. When the 43X came out, I made the mistake of feeling one at a store. I love the increased capacity but the grip is just different and fits my hand better. I setup all my 43 mags with +1 pinky extensions, so I was at 7+1.
Well the 43x has a much longer grip which of course helps with full grip, but prints maybe a bit more. Now the CR with a 13 rounder is still shorter than the 43x and holds the same capacity in a flush fit in a 43 size. Not sure the Poet offers any upgrades over anything you can do with a straight Combat or Elite model .
This thread is right up my alley as I'm debating getting the 43x or 26.5. I do own an older Gen3 26 and a 43 would like to get another carry gun. I'm really hesitant on the 43x as the grip on a 48 felt really thin to me. My 43 is really on the small side for my hands and I seem to get way too much finger on the trigger.
