Carl Huneke (19 June 1898 – 18 June 1972) was a German-American stained glass artist and master craftsman. Proprietor of the Century Stained Glass Studio in San Francisco, California, Carl designed and created more than 1,000 stained glass windows in 70 churches and other buildings, mostly in Northern California. Clayton and Bell was one of the most prolific and proficient British workshops of stained-glass windows during the latter half of the 19th century and early 20th century. [1] The partners were John Richard Clayton (1827–1913) and Alfred Bell (1832–1895).
Jean-Jacques Duval (Feb. 8, 1930 - Oct. 21, 2021) [1] was a French-born American artist who pioneered abstract art and the use of faceted glass in stained glass design in the 1960s. In 2005 he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Stained Glass Association of America. [2]
