Gundam (Japanese: ガンダムシリーズ, Hepburn: Gandamu Shirīzu, lit. Gundam Series) is a Japanese military science fiction media franchise.Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise (now Bandai Namco Filmworks), the franchise features giant robots, or mecha, with the name "Gundam".
The series was first unveiled during the "Gundam Conference Winter 2024" livestream on December 4, 2024, revealing the series' official trailer. It marked the first Gundam production to be co-produced by Studio Khara, [2] and is largely creatively led by staff who once worked for Gainax on several anime such as Evangelion, FLCL, and Diebuster. Gundam Plastic models, Gundam Plamo, or Gunpla (ガンプラ, Ganpura) [1] are model kits depicting the mecha machinery and characters of the fictional Gundam multiverse by Bandai Spirits. These kits became popular among mecha anime fans and model enthusiasts in Japan and nearby Asian countries beginning in the 1980s.

SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden was first announced back in November 21, 2018 at the Gundam 40th Anniversary live press conference. [3] Created as a reboot of the BB Senshi Sangokuden franchise (a spinoff of the Musha Gundam series and part of the SD Gundam franchise), the series only shares its namesake from its other franchise as it was an entirely different series altogether.
