Anchor Bay is a freshwater bay forming the northern region of Lake St. Clair in the U.S. state of Michigan.It generally encompasses the waters north of a line between Huron Point (part of the Lake St. Clair Metro Park Beach, not to be confused with Port Huron) and the Middle Channel of the St. Clair River (which enters Lake St. Clair between Dickinson Island and Harsens Island).
The inn was used as a tobacco drying shed during the smuggling days. [2] Until 1941 the Blue Anchor belonged to the Fonmon Estate. Bill Coleman became landlord and then passed it on to his son, John. John retired in 1987, passing it on to his two sons, Jeremy and Andrew Coleman who currently run it.

The main strait is 3 + 1 ⁄ 2 miles (5.6 kilometers) wide with a maximum depth of 295 feet (90 meters; 49 fathoms), [2] and connects the Great Lakes of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Given the large size and configuration of the straits, hydrologically, the two connected lakes are one body of water, studied as Lake Michigan–Huron.
