The first Allen High School, built in 1910 at the corner of Belmont and Cedar, was a two-story brick building housing six classrooms and an auditorium, and saw the first graduating class of eight students in 1914. The second Allen High School was established in 1959 on land donated by Mr. Harris Brown on the corner of Jupiter and Main Streets.
The program began in 1936, and over the past 25 years has been one of the top high school football programs in Texas, with five state championships since 2008, ten final fours since 2003, 25 consecutive playoff berths (1999-2023) with a won-loss record of 290–48 (.858) over that time, and 16 consecutive district titles (2006-2021). USA Today named its first All-USA High School Football Team in 1982. The newspaper has named a team every year since 1982. [1] [2] In addition, two members of the team are named the USA Today High School Offensive Player and Defensive Player of the Year, respectively.
