Maplewood Richmond Heights School District was established in 1876 after St. Louis split from St. Louis County. The original high school building, designed by famed school architect William B. Ittner, built in 1929, is still standing and in use today. [2][3] As of 2022 the building has been undergoing major renovations and expansion.

Richmond Heights is a city in St. Louis County, Missouri. It is an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, United States. The population was 8,603 at the 2010 census. [4] According to Robert L. Ramsay, the name was suggested by Robert E. Lee, who thought the topography of the area resembled Richmond, Virginia.
The average household size was 1.9 and the average family size was 2.8. 19.2% of the population was under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 36.2% from 25 to 44, 23.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32.9 years. For every 100 females, the population had 88.7 males.
Its students come from the Brentwood, Clayton, Kirkwood, Ladue, Maplewood-Richmond Heights, Normandy, Pattonville, Ritenour, and University City school districts.
