In Windows 10 the old 'My Pictures' folder is called 'Pictures'. It is located here (replace UserName with your login name): C:\Users\UserName\Pictures. If you can only see icons instead of thumbnails: Open Windows File Explorer. On the view Tab, in the Layout Section, choose Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large Icons.
Now, Pictures folder is missing from my user directory. However, Pictures folder is visible in Quick Access. If i click Pictures in Quick Access, then i do see my pictures. The path of the folder is inside my User folder. But when i go to the user folder, Pictures folder isn't there. If i show Hidden items, it's still not there.

So in my Pictures folder, I used to see all the images as thumbnails, as I should. Now, some images are showing as usual, then there's a bunch not showing. All I did was update Windows, sheesh, it's like living in a rocket with Microsoft, one moment you're headed in the right direction, galaxy etc, next you're hurtling into the Sun.
