Then there's the upcoming (Feb 2023) expansion, Lightfall. It is very solo friendly outside of end-game content. There's a lot of fun and hundreds of hours that can be enjoyed solo but it's one of the most repetitive games especially considering how many "expansions" there are.

There is some, but this really isn't considered a strong PvP game. Escape->Directory->Destinations-> Look for the icons at the top and center, those are the playlists, you want the red one with the double-headed bird of prey. If you do; you wont be able to play the game. It requires constant connection, as all online games do. Players will only join you in the public spaces - when you start your story missions; they shouldnt be there at all, unless you invite them (or it takes place in public spaces). They'll add single player, don't worry.

I personally have come to loathe all gaming snipers in pvp over the years, because for the most part the only real counter is another sniper. However the fix for destiny will not be to remove the ability to one shot. The point of special ammo is to be stronger but limited. If it had to 2 shot headshot it would be worthless.
